More than 60% of the 12,000 people employed in the Chrysler Corporation, Evansville Ordnance plant are women. To turn out millions of rounds a day, thousands of automatic and similar machines are used. The Government has advised Chrysler Corporation that it turns out .45 caliber ammunition with relatively very little man hours of work for each one million rounds of ammunition produced. (VL-2217)."
