One of the first manufacturers to establish war production training schools for the conversion of male automobile workers to war production work the Hudson Motor Car Co. is again leading the way in assisting their women automobile workers to prepare for war production jobs that will release skilled men for vital armament work. The first classes of women will complete their training course in the near future in special schools conducted by the company, and three new classes will begin immediately. Under the plan, more than 1,000 women formerly doing work in the automobile plants will be given an opportunity to attend the schools. The school training will prepare the women to read blueprints, how to handle and read precision instruments -- micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc. and will cover a review of mathematics."
