Beatrice Hamilton spraying sealing compound, Dodge Truck plant
View of Beatrice Hamilton spraying sealing compound at the Dodge Truck plant. Label on back: "Doing her full share. Pretty Beatrice Hamilton of 2615 Marlborough, Detroit, typical of the thousands of attractive American girls working in giant manufacturing plants of the country today turning out materials for defense, is doing her full share for the national defense program. Beatrice goes to work daily at the Dodge Truck plant in Detroit and eagerly contributes her share toward the production of tens of thousands of Dodge trucks for the United States Army and for the service of democracy throughout the world. She is shown spraying a sealing compound used to weather-proof the rear windows of truck cabs. Meanwhile, her husband, Private Raymond E. Hamilton is serving with the U.S. Army at Camp Walters, Texas where the trucks she helps to build are operated daily in maneuvers and in transporting the supplies and equipment required by the Army." Handwritten on back: "Women workers."
