View of a man lowering an engine into the body of a Studebaker Weasel, a military supply and personnel carrier. Label on front: "First production views of the Weasel (M-29), a versatile new type of carrier that has been a closely guarded military secret at the Studebaker automobile plants for two years, were released by the War Department today. Above: the M-29 received its power from the same six-cylinder engine that became famous in the Studebaker Champion passenger automobile. Here the unit is being lowered into the body."
