Description of work: "Two Caterpillar diesel D7 tractors with LaPlant-Choate and LeTourneau bulldozers at work on the Ledo Road in the jungles of North Burma. A survey party of elephants passes a member of an Engineer Construction Battalion which is pushing Leo Road forward toward a juncture with the Burma Road. Bulldozers are now doing work that was formerly handled by elephants. Credit: Signal Corps photo." Handwritten on back: "War workers--Unusual."
