Removed to Detroit, March, 1838. President, 2? National Bank of Detroit from its organization in 1863, & now president of its successor, the Detroit National Bank. State Senator in 1861 & 1862. United States Senator during the sessions of 1879-80 & 1880-81, for the unexpired term of the late Senator Chandler. Baldwin, Henry Porter, 1814-1892."
