Description
View of factory workers with 1968 Dodge Charger coupes on assembly line at Dodge St. Louis plant. Printed on front: "One more for the road -- that's the way it is in St. Louis where the Dodge assembly plant pitches in to produce 1968 Chargers. With sales of the restyled Charger up more than 500 per cent over 1967 models, Dodge Division was forced to expand production to meet the demand. The main assembly plant in Hamtramck, Michigan, is turning them out at a rate of 400 cars a day -- double the August start-up rate. As the first Charger rolled off the St. Louis line (above), on March 4, it meant an additional 126 units a day. From: Dodge Public Relations, P.O. Box 1259, Detroit, Michigan 48231. (68-1158).
