Mercury-influenced styling touches and further expansion of its luxury options earn increased status for the Mercury intermediate-size cars for 1967. All series carry Mercury script on the left front hood and on the right rear deck. In the top picture is the sportiest of the Mercury intermediates -- the Mercury Cyclone GT, which features a fiberglass hood with twin simulated air scoops and a 390-cubic-inch V-8 engine. Pictured below is the Mercury Caliente four-door sedan. The Mercury intermediate-size cars again come in three distinct sizes: the Mercury Comet 202 at 196.4 inches in overall length; the Mercury Capri, Mercury Caliente, and Mercury Cyclone and Cyclone GT at 203.5 inches; and the Mercury Comet Voyager and Mercury Villager stations wagons at 199.9 inches. The new cars will be introduced in Lincoln-Mercury dealerships on Friday, Sept. 30. Public Relations Department, Lincoln-Mercury Division, Ford Motor Company, 3000 Schaefer Road, Dearborn, Michigan."
