U.S. Army bantams and command cars jog along the trail cut through seven miles of canal zone jungle in fourteen days to complete a new 48 mile Transisthmian Highway connecting by land the ocean terminals of the Panama Canal. Ultimate goal is a paved two-way highway permitting the movement of U.S. defense forces from one end to the other in two hours. 2/6/42." Handwritten on back: "Jeeps."
