View of Marines with International Harvester diesel Crawler bulldozer on Iwo Jima during World War II. Label on back: "From International Harvester Division. International Harvester Company, 180 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago 1, Illinois. I-638-II. The second day of the invasion of Iwo Jima the sun rose on a conjested [sic] beach where the day before the Marines entered the greatest battle of their history. Through the first day and night supplies and equipment poured ashore to support the troops fighting inland. The bulldozers were there again with the Marines as indicated by the International diesel crawler in the foreground." Handwritten on back: "Bulldozers."
