This picture taken during part of the action shows Axis planes being riddled by machine gun fire during the attack. Three American planes are shown. The one at the extreme left flying low has just completed attack action while another B-25 is shown overhead at the left. 12 Axis air transports almost at water level are under attack in this view. Wing of 3rd plane is at extreme right. Aircraft in action."
