Description
View of the Lockheed Lodestar transport plane. Label on back: "The Lockheed Lodestar which distinguished itself as the fastest commercial air transport before the war is now flying for the Allies around the globe--carrying vital supplies to war fronts, transporting personnel from one battle zone to another. Lodestars form an important and necessary link in the chain of planes that fly freight, people and supplies from one part of Africa to another. Lockheed Aircraft Corporation is constantly turning out these ships which appear less glamorous but are nonetheless dependable for their change from civilian dress to Army drab." Handwritten on back: "Aircraft in action."
