Stripped of armament, bombs and bomb carrying equipment and accessories, the transport version of the Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation's Coronado PB2Y-3 is capable of carrying heavy loads of men or materials over exceptionally long ranges. With a wing span of 115 feet, a length of 79 feet and a gross weight of 66,000 pounds, this is the largest mass produced plane in Navy service. The Navy designation for the transport version is PB2Y-3R." Stamped on back: "Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corp., Lindbergh Field, San Diego, Calif.
