Label on back: "The waters around this Liberty ship anchored off Le Havre are churned into white foam by dozens of Ducks. The Nazis believed that it would be months before supplies could move through Le Havre, after they had wrecked and demolished the great port almost beyond repair. They reckoned without the Duck. By the end of November over 175,000 ship tons of cargo had been discharged at Le Havre, much of it by Ducks." Typed on back: "ETO HQ 44 20409 15 Nov. Credit, U.S. Army Signal Corps. Photog., Pvt. Seaborne 3120, Channel B.S. U.S. Army 'Ducks' which operate from ship to shore carrying cargo from Liberty ships are shown being loaded with gasoline drums.
