View of workers assembling wings for Boeing B-29 Superfortress bomber at the Murray-Scranton plant of the Murray Corporation of America. Label on back: "Print #P-388-7; the B-29 wing begins to form as the trailing edge is placed in a merry-go-round conveyor and the center section is assembled and attached to it in the Murray-Scranton plant. Murray Corporation of America made possible this type of mass porduction [sic] by directly adapting automotive methods to airplane assembly." Stamped on back: "Murray Corporation of America, 7700 Russell Street, Detroit, Michigan." Handwritten on back: "Aircraft--Bombers (Parts & assembly)."
