View of musician Slam Stewart, playing the bass. Printed on front: "Slam Stewart." Label on back: "Appearing with Benny Goodman in concert. Leroy 'Slam' Stewart, bassist. Slam Stewart was born in Englewood, New Jersey. He may be best known for his rendition of 'Flat foot floozie' with Slim Gaillard, and was one of the most recorded jazz artists of the mid-40's, and did a tour with Mr. Goodman in 1944. His bass playing and humming is unique in the jazz world." Handwritten on back: "Stewart, 'Slam,' (Leroy)."
