View of 1925 Stanley phaeton car, Model SV, parked on side of street. Typed on back: "Steam Car Associates copy. A 1925 Model SV Stanley phaeton. This car lately sold to a New York City buyer whos [sic] address has not yet been given us -- after several requests! Steam Car Associates is interested in this and the model SV 262 which some claim does not exist. We cannot pay a kings ransom for these two because: A. We do not have much money. B. The car was described to us by two Stanley dealers, unknown to each other and at opposite sides of the continent as a 'Lemon.' Letters are in our files. The car was a failure. C. The car or parts of it are not antique. D. Freights are high, consult latest revised schedules! For our co-operation, goodwill and other consideration as it may appear, we ask that you keep us posted on the net cost of all or any parts of such Stanley's. Retain this photo, trade us more of yours."
