View of motorists with car at cotton gin mill and cotton factory at Loretto, Tennessee during the 1912 Glidden Tour. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, 1231 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Mich., telephone North 1745." Although the official 1912 Glidden Tour was canceled, Charles Glidden led a caravan over the identical route that had been originally planned, from Detroit, Michigan to New Orleans, Louisiana. Handwritten on back: "At Loretto, Tenn., showing gin mill at left and cotton factory in distance, Glidden Tour, 1912. Tours--Glidden Tour, 1912."
