View of motorists with Maxwell car in front of the Hotel Anthony at Fort Wayne, Indiana during the 1912 Glidden Tour. Although the official 1912 Glidden Tour was canceled, Charles Glidden led a caravan over the identical route that had been originally planned, from Detroit, Michigan to New Orleans, Louisiana. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, 1231 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Mich., telephone North 1745." Handwritten on back: "Glidden tourists getting ready to leave Hotel Anthony, 1912. Tours--Glidden Tour, 1912."
