Although the official 1912 Glidden Tour was canceled, Charles Glidden led a caravan over the identical route that had been originally planned, from Detroit, Michigan to New Orleans, Louisiana. Handwritten on back: "R.K. [sic] Davis, driver of car #3 Maxwell, Glidden Tour, 1912. Tours--Glidden Tour, 1912."
