Although the official 1912 Glidden Tour was canceled, Charles Glidden led a caravan over the identical route that had been originally planned, from Detroit, Michigan to New Orleans, Louisiana. Handwritten on back: "Mr. P.W. Williams and Mr. Davis in car #3, Maxwell, Glidden Tour, October, 1912. Tours--Glidden Tour, 1912."
