Although the official 1912 Glidden Tour was canceled, Charles Glidden led a caravan over the identical route that had been originally planned, from Detroit, Michigan to New Orleans, Louisiana. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, 1231 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Mich., telephone North 1745." Handwritten on back: "Placing lost fender on back of car on road to Vicksburg, Glidden Tour, 1912. Tours--Glidden Tour, 1912."
