Sponsored by the New Jersey Automobile and Motor Club, the endurance run followed a route between Newark and Hackettstown, New Jersey. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, telephones 3472-3473 Columbus, 1931 Broadway, New York." Handwritten on back: "Autocar no. 18, driven by M.A. Carpenter, had tire trouble. Tours--Hackettstown Endurance Run, 1909."
