View of motorists with two cars parked in front of Minuteman monument at Concord, Massachusetts during the 1908 Glidden Tour. Statue was designed by Daniel Chester French. Inscription, by Ralph Waldo Emerson, reads: "By the rude bridge that arched the flood, their flag to April's breeze unfurled, here once the embattled farmers stood, and fired the shot heard round the world." Handwritten on back: "Tours--Glidden Tour, 1908."
