View of driver and passenger in Ideal truck no. 39 during the 1911 reliability contest sponsored by the Chicago Motor Club. Contestants traveled on routes through Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan. "Model F one ton truck, made 1800 miles in 100 hours with full load, four state tour" sign on truck bed. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, 1231 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Mich., telephone North 1745." Handwritten on back: "Tours--Chicago Reliability Run, 1911."
