View of two men guiding car across wooden bridge over creek during 1911 reliability contest sponsored by the Chicago Motor Club. Two men attempt to guide tires of second car over bridge. Contestants traveled on routes through Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, 1231 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Mich., telephone North 1745." Handwritten on back: "Tours--Chicago Reliability Run, 1911."
