View of bronze tablet at Kit Carson Cemetery in Taos, New Mexico during the Flag-to-Flag Endurance Run from Denver to Mexico City. Inscription reads [in part]: "In memory of the officers and soldiers who were killed or who died of wounds received in the campaigns of the First United States Dragoons against the Mexicans and Indians near Taos, New Mexico, in 1847 and 1854 whose remains are interred in this cemetery. Against Mexican and Indians at Taos and vicinity in January and February 1847 under Col. Sterling Price." Stamped on back: "Photographic illustration by Nick Lazarnick, 230 Park Ave., N.Y." Handwritten on back: "Tours--Denver to Mexico City Endurance Run (Chalmers)."
