View of driver and passenger in Federal truck no. 32 crossing tracks in front of E. Main streetcar in Jackson, Michigan during the 1911 reliability contest sponsored by the Chicago Motor Club. Contestants traveled on routes through Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan. Commercial buildings and man with valise on right. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, 1231 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Mich., telephone North 1745." Handwritten on back: "Tours--Chicago Reliability Run, 1911."
