Knudsen, director of the OPM, in Washington, told him that she would sing in Detroit, his old hometown, tomorrow night. She'll appear at the Dance for Defense party at the State Fairgrounds, the first appearance of the Dance Caravan, which will present the orchestras of Tommy Dorsey and Shep Fields in 10 cities." Handwritten on back: "Lucy Monroe meeting Knudsen in Washington where she had appeared, told her [undecipherable] meet, glad inaugural stayed in Detroit = 10 cities."
