Charles A. Oostdyk

Oostdyk, vice-president in charge of purchasing of the Hudson Motor Car Co., has resigned from the company to take an extended rest, it was announced by A.E. Barit, president and general manager. Oostdyk's retirement comes after forty-one years in the automobile industry, nearly forty of which have been spent in purchasing. He entered the automobile business in 1907 and served in various production and purchasing posts before joining Hudson in 1918 as purchasing agent. In 1932 he was elected vice-president in charge of purchasing and a member of the board of directors. G.W. Munger, purchasing agent, has been elected vice-president in charge of purchasing to fill the vacancy left by Oostdyk's retirement, it was announced. Munger, who entered the automobile business in 1912, joined Hudson in 1919 as a buyer. In 1924 he was named assistant purchasing agent and in 1932, purchasing agent."
