Typed on back: "Italy's entry in New York-to-Paris Race. The Italian Zust (actually Brixia-Zust) is shown as it appeared shortly after the start of the New York-to-Paris Race that began in Times Square, New York, on February 12, 1908. The driver shown here was Antonio Scarfoglio, poet, author, son of a Neapolitan publisher. The two others in fur coats were Emilio Sirtori and Henri Haaga, reserve drivers. The fourth crew member was the mechanic. This car did not reach Paris until the following September 17." Handwritten on back: "Races and racing--New York to Paris, 1908."
