Commanded at Michilimacmac, & at Detroit during Am. Revolution. Afterward, Col. 1st Dumfries (Scotch) Volunteers, 1796, & during the wars growing out of the French Rev., to whom Rob. Burns, a private in his reg., addressed his poem on 'Life' 1796."
