Handwritten on back: "Biography--Kolb, L.P. Major L.P. Kolb ass[istant] chief eng. at Dayton [undecipherable], 1918, who now in private life is mgr. Bumper Division, Bullard Machine Tool Co. The engineers were then soldiers."
