What the world is doing, a pictorial record of current events. Queen monoplane in flight. Arthur Stone flying over the north end of Grant Park during Chicago's aviation meet. The International aviation meet opened at Grant Park, Chicago on August 12 with a long list of contestants. Chicago was wildly enthusiastic over the feats of the airmen and enormous crowds gathered at Grant Park every day to watch the flying. On Sunday over half a million people were present." Handwritten on back: "Aircraft, 1911."
