Handwritten on back: "Airplane racing--Michigan State Fairgrounds, Detroit, Mi., 1910. Archie Hoxsey." Label on file: "Aviation racing, 1910. The first showing of an airplane in Detroit took place July 14, 1910. It was not a race it was simply a demonstration by Arch Hoxey [sic] in what appears to be an early model Wright airplane at the Detroit Fair Grounds."
