Played in the majors with Yankees, Reds, Cardinals and Dodgers. Leo's playing career was apparently over in 1941, but he took part in a few games in 1943 and 1945. Managed the Dodgers for eight and one-half years, beginning with 1939. Became manager of the Giants in surprise move, July 1948. No. 233 in the 1951 series baseball picture cards.
