In 1947 with Springfield played in 107 games, scored 94 runs and collected 138 hits for 232 bases. Slugging included 29 doubles, 7 triples and 17 homers and a .366 batting average. He began 1948 with Toledo of AA and had a .296 batting average when called up to parent Browns. In 69 games for Browns he had a .238 average. #201 Baseball game and bank.
