Height: 5-10. Weight: 160. Bats: left. Throws: right. Hit .260 in 125 games in 1949. Floyd's fielding average of .977 was tops for American League 3rd basemen taking part in more than 100 games. He started in minors, 1938. Had a brief major-league trial with Browns, 1943. In Browns' lineup a short time in 1944. Then sold to White Sox. First became a Sox regular during the 1947 season.
