Ed Siever posed as if winding up to pitch, with no ball, facing camera. Handwritten on card front, in faded white ink: "Ed Siever, p." Printed on card back: "Edward Siever, left-handed pitcher of the Detroit Club, played his first ball on Nebraska and Kansas independent clubs. He came to Detroit in 1900. Copyrighted and published by A.C. Dietsche, Detroit, Mich., 1907." Handwritten on card back: "Tues. Nov. 10 08 4.00p.m. This has been a cloudy day and quite warm. Received Mother's letter and papers this a.m. Have not got time to write a letter as the exams. start tomorrow and I am putting in all my time on English. We have Eng. exams. tomorrow morning so have to work hard tonight on notebooks. E.A.S." Card is postmarked November 10, 1908.
