Killian, the 'Tigers' leading southpaw. He first played professionally in 1902 with the Rockford, Ill., team. He was purchased by the Cleveland Club in 1904, and turned over to Detroit. He is very effective against the American League Clubs. He bats left-handed and is a hard hitter. Copyrighted and published by A.C. Dietsche, Detroit, Mich., 1907." Handwritten on card back: "Fri. Oct. 30, 08. 5.30p.m. It has been awful cold here today. Our football team won out again, score 160 to 0. They have the world's record now, which was 144. How is that? Will send you an account of game tomorrow. Have not decided what to do tonight. Will write tomorrow. E.A.S." Card is postmarked October 30, 1908.
