Closeup of plaque honoring Charlie Radbourn's 1939 induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Text on plaque reads: "Charlie Radbourne [sic] 'Old Hoss.' Providence, Boston and Cincinnati National League 1881 to 1891. Greatest of all 19th century pitchers. Winning 1884 pennant for Providence, Radbourne [sic] pitched last 27 game of season, won 25. Won 3 straight in World Series." Printed on card back: "Base ball was invented in Cooperstown, New York, by Abner Doubleday and first played in this village in 1839. The National Base Ball Museum and Hall of Fame and Doubleday Field are maintained here as a shrine to the national game. Pub. by National Base Ball Museum."
