Won 18 games and lost 7 with the World Champions in 1932. Also captured one game in the World Series that fall. Ruffing was born in Granville, Ill., in 1904. Is a right-handed pitcher, 6 ft. tall and weighs 210 lbs. Joined the professional ranks with Danville in the 3 I League in 1923. Was bought by Boston the next year. Was traded to the Yankees in 1930.
