Heinie Manush
Portrait of Heinie Manush, left fielder for the Washington Senators. Diamond Stars series. Printed on front: "'Heinie' Manush." Printed on back: "Diamond Stars, no. 30. Fielding - On infield flies, which might be handled by any of several players, the captain of the team must shout the name of the man to make the catch, lest the fielders collide and lose the catch or be injured. Often in the outfield too, two players will be in equally good position to make the catch. Also when a catcher, first baseman or third baseman is chasing a foul near the grand stand, teammates should warn them of their approach to the barriers by shouting 'Plenty of room' or 'Look out", as the case may be. It seems a small detail, but to players looking into the sky and running, it is important. Heine [sic] Manush, Washington outfielder, uses his megaphone voice to direct his teammates.
