Last year he worked at second base, third base and shortstop for Washington, and batted .278 in 55 games. Bob was born in Maryville, Ill. in 1909. He is 6 feet, 1-1/2 inches tall, and weighs 180 pounds; bats and throws right-handed. He was bought by the Senators from Kansas City, where he had played for two seasons. With Kansas City in 1932, he hit .280 in 161 games. he was secured by the White Sox from Washington during the present season. Lou Gehrig by arrangement with Christy Walsh.
