The Farmers Market had its humble beginning in eighteen crude little booths offering fresh vegetables, fruits, eggs, poultry, dairy products, homebaked bread, and California wines, all direct from the farmer. From this mushroomed the most unique and complete marketing center of the West, offering every type of foods, home furnishings, hardware, apparel, gifts, souvenirs. Manufactured by Longshaw Card Co., Los Angeles, Calif." Handwritten on back: "This is the best I can do on a ballpark picture. Gee - we're busy. Buck & Elizabeth." Card is postmarked June 20, 1948.
