Sent to minor league for four years, then won a berth in the big league. Won 26 games and lost only nine, pitching for Tulsa in Western League in 1927. Has been in American League ever since. Last year gained 14 victories and was beaten 14 times, pitching for sixth place club. Worked in 44 games during season. Is right-hander, five feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.
