Printed on back: "No. 103, Earle Combs, New York Yankees. He used to be the ball maker for his baseball team as a boy, but used to lose most of the balls by hitting home runs. Born on a farm near Pebworth, Ky. Starred in baseball, basket ball and track in college. New York Yankees bought him in 1923 from Louisville. He has been a big leaguer ever since. Last year he batted .321 in 143 games and hit .375 in the world series. He is 32 years old, six feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. Bats left handed, but throws right handed.
