Letter written to Geo. W. Eastman & Co., 36 Madison St., Boston, from Lincoln A. Lamphere, 15 years old, Jefferson School, Room A, dated May 4, 1876. Letter reads: "Gentlemen, Allow me to introduce to your favorable consideration my friend C.S. Huntington, Esq. of Cincinnati. Mr. Huntington visits your city on business, the nature of which he will, himself, explain, and any attention or courtesies you may be able to extend him will be appreciated as personal favors to myself. Very truly, Lincoln A. Lamphere, age 15 years." Recorded in glass negative ledger: "D/Schools-Jefferson."
