Soldiers march down Woodward Avenue with huge crowds encroaching on street, hanging out of windows and on building tops, the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument on right, Hudson's store visible to the north, signs for Golde Clothes, Kelly Springfield tires visible next to Detroit Opera House. Farther north on Woodward a banner stretched across street reads "Enlist now, your country needs you." Recorded in glass negative ledger: "D/History-European war, 1914-18."
