Horse-drawn water tank stopped at fresh water station at Belle Isle Park. Men in shelter drinking water. Man on wagon using hand pump. Recorded in glass negative ledger: "D/Parks-Belle Isle-Canals." Also have mounted print from negative. Printed on card back: "Photographic sketches, in and about the city of Detroit. Consisting of street and marine views, public buildings, churches, monumental, and other objects of interest. Photographed and published by Jex Bardwell."
